Yosemite National Park

Tioga Road is a winding two-lane mountain road that traverses the park's subalpine high country. The road passes through forests of lodgepole pine and red fir, ascending gradually past Siesta Lake, White Wolf, and Yosemite Creek to Olmsted Point, a scenic overlook at 8,300 feet (2,500 m) with views of Tenaya Lake and the granite domes of the park's backcountry. The road then descends to Tenaya Lake before climbing again to Tuolumne Meadows, the largest subalpine meadow in the Sierra Nevada, at an elevation of approximately 8,600 feet (2,600 m).
