The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a flagship Android-based phablet-sized smartphone manufactured, developed and produced by Samsung Electronics. It was unveiled during a Samsung press conference at IFA Berlin, Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2, on September 3, 2014, alongside the Galaxy Note Edge, the Gear S, the Gear Circle and the Gear VR. It was released globally in October 2014 as successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Improvements include expanded stylus-related functionality, an optically stabilized rear camera, 1440p quad-HD filming on the front camera, significantly faster charging, revised multi-windowing, fingerprintunlocking, and BeiDou positioning. It is the last in the Galaxy Note series with an interchangeable battery, an IR blaster and infrared. It is also the last Note model to include microSD until the arrival of the Note 7 in 2016 and the Note FE & Note 8 in 2017. Its subsequent model, the Galaxy Note 5, was unveiled on August 13, 2015.
