SPARC64 XIfx

Fujitsu introduced the SPARC64 XIfx in August 2014 at the Hot Chips symposium. It is used in the Fujitsu PRIMEHPC FX100 supercomputer, which succeeded the PRIMEHPC FX10. The XIfx operates at 2.2 GHz and has a peak performance of 1.1 TFLOPS. It consists of 3.75 billion transistors and is fabricated by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company in its 20 nmhigh-κ metal gate (HKMG) process. The Microprocessor Report estimated the die to have an area of 500 mm; and a typical power consumption of 200 W.
