Red hypergiants
M-type spectra, the largest known stars by radius. Hypergiant luminosity classes are rarely applied to red supergiants. However, the term red hypergiant is sometimes used for the most extended and unstable red supergiants, with radii on the order of 1,000 to 2,000 R☉.
