Red Wall Caucus

The Red Wall Caucus is a British political caucus and pressure group of backbenchLabour MPs who represent red wall seats in the House of Commons. It was founded in November 2025 by Bassetlaw MP Jo White. Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor MP Alan Strickland was elected chair of the group in September 2026 after White was appointed to Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Home Office.

The Red Wall Caucus focuses on issues which it sees as affecting Labour's traditional working class voter base in particular, such as the cost-of-living crisis, anti-social behaviour and crime, access to GPs, welfare benefits and illegal immigration.
