Wave nature of radiation

Between 1830 and 1832, Macedonio Melloni, with the initial help of Leopoldo Nobili, creates a thermomultiplier to carry a series of measurements on radiant heat. Melloni demonstrate that radiant heat has all the same properties of light including reflection, refraction, diffraction and polarization. Melloni however did not fully adhere the wave theory of heat until 1847.
