Muttathu Varkey

Muttathu Varkey (28 April 1913 – 28 May 1989) was an Indian novelist, short story writer, and poet of Malayalam. He was best known in Malayalam literature for the painkili (janapriya) genre—a style of sentiment-filled romantic fiction named after his famous novel Padatha Painkili, which was later released as a film.
