Many countries in the world have the problem of too few doctors. Increasing medical school enrollment and number of medical residency positions increases the number of medical doctors. Higher physician supply reduces physician overtimes, physician burnout and improves physician consultation lengths. Long medical working hours and sleep deprivation contribute to medical errors.
