Louis de Freycinet

Louis Claude de Saulces de Freycinet (French pronunciation:; 7 August 1779 – 18 August 1841) was a French Navy officer. Following the 1800–1803 , he published in 1811 the first map to show the full Australian coastline. He later circumnavigated the Earth, and was elected to the French Academy of Sciences in 1825.
