This is a comprehensive list of all Article III and Article IVUnited States federal judges appointed by President Donald Trump, as well as a partial list of Article I federal judicial appointments, excluding appointments to the District of Columbia judiciary.
As of July 23, 2026 the United States Senate has confirmed 287 Article III judges nominated by Trump: three associate justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, 64 judges for the United States courts of appeals, 216 judges for the United States district courts, and four judges for the United States Court of International Trade. There are 6 nominations awaiting Senate action: 2 for the courts of appeals, 4 for the district courts and none for the Trade Court. There are no vacancies on the U.S. courts of appeals, 26 vacancies on the U.S. district courts, and no vacancies on the U.S. Court of International Trade, as well as twelve announced vacancies that may occur before the end of Trump's term (three for the courts of appeals and nine for the district courts). Trump has not made any recess appointments to the federal courts.
In terms of Article I courts, Trump has made 43 appointments: 18 for the United States Court of Military Commission Review, 10 for the United States Court of Federal Claims, seven for the United States Tax Court, six for the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and two for the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. There is one vacancy on the U.S. Tax Court and three on the Veteran Claims court. Trump designated Susan G. Braden, Margaret M. Sweeney, Eleni M. Roumel, and Matthew H. Solomson as chief judges of the Court of Federal Claims.
On the Article IVterritorial courts, Trump has made two appointments. There is one vacancy on the U.S. territorial courts.
