Konni, Kerala

Konni is a Grama Panchayat and Taluk headquarters in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, India. Konni is known for its elephant cages, forests, and rubber plantations. It is also known as "Aana koodinte Nadu". Konni is located 10 km (6.2 mi) south east of district headquarters Pathanamthitta and 34 km (21 mi) away from Chengannur railway station. It is well-connected via the Muvattupuzha - Punalur state highway. The Konni Government Medical College, Konni Centeral junction to Distance only 5.6 K.m (alloted to Pathanamthitta district is situated) 5 km (3.1 mi) east of this town.
