Federal State Unitary Enterprise

History

During 2000–2001, as part of the implementation of measures envisaged by the Concept of State Property Management and Privatization, the number of federal state unitary enterprises in the transport sector, mainly associated with the creation of Russian Railways, was significantly reduced. In 2001, 41 unitary enterprises were identified under the auspices of the State Construction Committee, and 28 under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Science.
