Assessment

Near the dissolution of the Government in August 2026, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev assessed that the Bektenov Government "overall" worked "quite diligently and promptly, carrying out the tasks set by the head of state". He, however, stated that it was necessary for the Bektenov Government to resign in order to carry out further modernisation amid constitutional reform.
