Bahrain Island (Arabic: جزيرة البحرينJazīrah al-Baḥrayn), also known as Awal Island and formerly as Bahrein, is the largest island within the archipelago of Bahrain, and forms the bulk of the country's land mass while hosting the majority of its population.
