FAA Commercial Space Astronaut Wings
From 2004 through 2021 the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration created a program to encourage and recognize commercial astronauts, giving special wings to pilots and flight crew on all FAA-licensed commercial flight that exceeded 50 miles above the surface of the Earth. The FAA Commercial Astronaut Wings design was changed in 2018, and the program opened up to all passengers on such flights.
