Administrative geography of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is divided into 8 Divisions and 64 Districts, although these have a limited role in public policy. For the purpose of Local Governance, the country is divided into Upazilas, City Corporations, Pourashovas (or town councils) and Union Parishads (i.e., rural councils).
