Similarities
When using CrossFire with AFR, the subjective framerate can often be lower than the framerate reported by benchmarking applications, and may even be poorer than the frame rate of its single-GPU equivalent. This phenomenon is known as micro stuttering and also applies to SLI since it is inherent to multi-GPU configurations. AMD CrossFireX, and NVIDIA SLI setups both require bridges, and a power supply unit (PSU) capable of supplying enough power to the GPUs. 6 pin (75 watt 3x12volt +3 ground, becoming rare now), 8 pin (150 watt, a 6pin+2 additional sense plugs), and 16 pin (up to 600 watt,6x12volt and 6 ground wires + 4 sense pins ) power plugs are all common in today's graphics cards.
