On December 10, 2012, at 6 AM, 99.5 Play FM was launched. The first on-air team included socialite Tim Yap, Sam Oh (RT mainstay), and former Magic 89.9 DJ Nikko, followed by remaining RT staff and junior jocks laterally promoted from Magic.
