Canadian ice hockey player (born 1973) Ice hockey player Scott Niedermayer (born August 31, 1973) is a Canadian former ice hockey player and current special assignment coach of the Anaheim Ducks. A defenceman, he played 18 seasons and over 1,000 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks.
