At the 2000 census there were 15,475 people, 5,568 households, and 4,448 families living in the township. The population density was . There were 5,707 housing units at an average density of . The racial makeup of the township was 97.25% White, 0.48% African American, 0.09% Native American, 0.85% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.43% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino people of any race were 1.56%. There were 5,568 households, 39.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.3% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.1% were non-families. 16.3% of households were made up of individuals, and 4.5% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.10. The age distribution was 28.0% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 31.3% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.4% 65 or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93.5 males. The median household income was $55,007 and the median family income was $59,701.
