Waiʻalae ( Hawaiian pronunciation: ˈlɐe">Stress_(linguistics).html" ;"title="ɐjʔəStress (linguistics)">ˈlɐe is a neighborhood of Honolulu on the Hawaiian Islands, island of Oahu, Oʻahu in Hawaii, Hawaiʻi, United States. The Waialae Country Club#Origin of Wai'alae, ''Waiʻalae'' means "Hawaiian gallinule, mudhen water". The Waialae Country Club, Waiʻalae Country Club is here and Waiʻalae Iki and Waiʻalae Nui, which are above Waiʻalae along the ridge, are located here, also. It is also home to Chaminade University of Honolulu. Val Ossipoff designed many organic homes and buildings in Waiʻalae Nui.
