) was a Czech illustrator and painter. First, he studied at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, later the Academy in Vienna. Alternately lived in Prague, Mladá Boleslav and Železnice. He was almost exclusively devoted to illustrating books (especially adventure books) and magazines (''
