UEFA confirmed the bidding process on 23 July 2024. The timeline is as follows: The winning bidder(s) will be chosen in December 2025.

Five declarations of interest were submitted by the deadline of 24 September 2024 to host the tournament. * and * * * * All five bids submitted their preliminary bid dossier by 12 March 2025 and will have until 28 August to submit their final bid dossier, after which the final list of candidates will be known.
