Some cities are going to be bypassed, dubbed as "relief routes," such Diboll, the Diboll bypass is under construction and is scheduled for completion in 2025. US 59 was redesignated on the unfinished bypass on May 25, 2023 with the former alignment becoming Bus. US 59-H. A bypass for Corrigan started construction in late 2022 and is scheduled for completion in 2028. More projects for future I-69 corridors are planned but not in the works as the entire I-69 project in Texas does not have dedicated funding to complete the entire project.
