Turkey! Time To Strike

''Turkey! Time to Strike'', also simply known in Japan as ''Turkey!'', is an original Japanese anime television series about tenpin bowling and time traveling animated by Tatsunoko Production under their Bakken Record label and produced by Pony Canyon, set in the city of Chikuma, Nagano. It is directed by Susumu Kudo and written by Naomi Hiruta, with Airi Takekawa serving as character designer, Yuki Hayashi composing the music, and Pony Canyon producing the music. The series premiered on July 8, 2025 on Nippon TV's programming block and other channels, and is released internationally on Crunchyroll. The opening theme song is "Hyakunichisou" performed by the five main cast members under the moniker "Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club, Nagano Prefecture", while the ending theme song is "Moshimo" performed by .

Plot

The bowling club of Ikkokukan High School in Nagano Prefecture consists of five members: club leader Mai Otonashi, first-year student Rina Godai, nervous Sayuri Ichinose, fashionable Nozomi Mitaka, and nerdy Nanase Nikaidō. Rina is sick of the club always losing and plans to quit. Mai wants everyone to enjoy the club in their own way, and tries to prevent Rina for leaving, as doing so would reduce the number of club members to below the school club limit. Rina challenges Mai to a one-on-one match, but she leaves part-way through beliving Mai is not taking it seriously.

During the match, a lightning storm occurs, and a bolt of lightning strikes at a nearby construction site, hitting a partly-buried artefact. The strike causes the artefact to release a magic spell which affects Mai's bowling ball just as she is about to bowl, dragging her away down the lane. The rest of the club members, including Rina, grab onto Mai to stop her, but instead are all dragged along. They fall asleep, but upon Mai waking up, she discovers that the club have all travelled back in time to the Sengoku period (1467-1615), in a field near a battle. The club is saved from a group of bandits by young samurai Suguri Tokura, who is captured as the club escapes. Grateful for his help, the club then uses their bowling skills to save him. Claiming to be travelling performers in order to prevent confusing him, the club follows Suguri back to his town and is invited to stay in his mansion.
