The Théâtre du Jorat was established by
René Morax René Morax (11 May 1873 – 3 January 1963) was a Swiss writer, playwright, stage director and theatre manager. He founded the Théâtre du Jorat in Morges in 1908, and promoted historical and rural theatre in French in Switzerland. He is known f ...
in 1908. Werner Reinhart was the primary financial supporter of the Théâtre du Jorat. Constructed entirely of wood which ensures its integration with neighboring farms, it is nicknamed the "Sublime barn" or the "Wooden palace" by the inhabitants of the commune. The building is listed in the
