After the neighbourhood had transitioned from an industrial area to an office centre, beginning in the 1990s, and continuing in the early 21st century, residential apartment buildings began being built there, though in very small numbers in comparison to the office buildings. In the 2010s, the neighbourhood had a population of a few thousand people, while between 80 and 100 thousand people commuted to work there every day.
