History

The main part of Söderort was annexed by the ''City of Stockholm'' in 1913. Before 2007, it was organized into eight ''stadsdelsområden'': Enskede-Årsta, Farsta, Hägersten, Liljeholmen, Skarpnäck, Skärholmen, Vantör and Älvsjö.
