Chakraborty made her debut in Television in 1989. She gained wider recognition for her portrayal of Tista in Ravi Ojha's long-running soap opera ''Khela''. Chakraborty had participated as contestant in the first season of ''Bigg Boss Bangla'' (2013), in which she was the top four finalist. She is also an anchor, talk show host, casting director, and an acting coach.
