He returned to ADT the following 13 January, before returning to León on 12 August 2021. On 6 September 2021, Tristán was appointed Deportivo Verdecocha manager. He started the 2022 season in charge of Inkas FC, being knocked out in the semifinals of the provincial leagues by

after fielding an ineligible player; on 6 July of that year, he took over Garcilaso. Tristán led Garcilaso to the top tier, but was sacked on 16 April 2023; late in the month, he was announced back at the club, but as manager of the reserves.
