. He is the son of Vanessa Bruce and Terry McKnight. Shortly after he won a diocesan championship at 13 years old, his mother was diagnosed with cancer. She died several weeks later. Quincy used her death as motivation to become better at basketball. McKnight began his high school career at

. He played sparingly and averaged 0.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. On December 5, 2021, McKnight signed with Široki of the Bosnian Championship. He parted ways with the team on January 13, 2022.
