Name and history

It is the only Pusheta Township statewide. Formed in 1836, Pusheta Township was originally part of Allen County. The township takes its name from Pusheta Creek.

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1.
