At the 2000 census there were 492 people, 194 households, and 142 families living in the township. The population density was 14.6 people per square mile (5.7/km). There were 217 housing units at an average density of 6.5/sq mi (2.5/km). The racial makeup of the township was 98.37% White, 0.81% Native American, 0.41% Asian, 0.41% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.41%. Of the 194 households 29.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.5% were married couples living together, 4.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.3% were non-families. 22.7% of households were one person and 4.6% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 2.97. The age distribution was 25.4% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 34.6% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% 65 or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females, there were 111.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 118.5 males. The median household income was $41,346 and the median family income was $44,500.
