, United States. The population was 130 at the 2010 census. Pequaywan Lake Road (Saint Louis County Road 44) serves as a main route in the township. In his book ''Minnesota Place Names,'' Warren Upham cites the word pequaywan as "''an Ojibwe name of undetermined meaning''".
