Built on GKN Salisbury rear axle and only MT75 Ford 5 speed gearboxes, 2.9i also assembled with automatic transmission. Alu and also grp composite body. Aluminium was an extra option, glass fibre reinforced plastic being the standard. The bodies by Ssangyong is 10 cm wider than early Harlow models. The Kallista used an aluminium body over a purpose-built steel chassis. Performance was good, with a sprint to 60 mph (96.6 km/h) taking under 8 seconds. A Kallista appears in the 1987 film '' Timestalkers''.
