Synopsis

Guido Canali, the wealthy and respected owner of a prosperous marble quarry in the picturesque hills of Tuscany, leads a privileged life as part of Italy's upper class. His world changes dramatically when he encounters Luisa Fanti, the stunningly beautiful and virtuous daughter of Bernardo Fanti, one of his most dedicated quarry workers.
