, Faculty of Letters in 1993. He was a translator and interpreter at the Kuwait Embassy in Turkey (1993–1998). He completed his master's thesis on Egyptian novelist and short story author Yahya Haqqi. His PhD focused on equivalence problems and strategies in Arabic-Turkish translation and vice versa.
Suçin was part of the team that produced the semi-dramatic documentary "Golden Wings: A Story of Courage", sponsored by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT). He also served as a visiting fellow at The Centre for Translation and Intercultural Studies at the

Suçin chaired the commission that prepared Arabic curricula based on
CEFR

for primary and secondary schools in Turkey (2012-2014). He was one of the judges for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) in 2014, and the Sheikh Hamad Award for Translation in 2015. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award (SZBA), organized by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC).
In 2016, the Turkish Authors' Association in Turkey awarded him the Best Translated Book Award. Since 2012, he has been conducting workshops on literary translation, as well as translation and interpretation.
