Eygi was born on February 7, 1933, in the Ereğli district of

He received his bachelor's degree from the
Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University in 1952. While attending university, he worked as a translator at the
French Cultural Center in Ankara.
After graduating from university in 1956, he worked as a translator at the
