According to the 2011 Census of India, Masat had a total population of 5,839 of which 2,984 (51%) were males and 2,855 (49%) were females. There were 756 persons in the age range of 0–6 years. The total number of literate persons in Masat was 4,110 (80.86% of the population over 6 years).
