The racial makeup of the borough was 99.41% White, 0.20% Asian, and 0.39% from two or more races. Of the 219 households 22.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.6% were married couples living together, 6.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.4% were non-families. 23.3% of households were one person and 12.8% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 2.74. The age distribution was 17.1% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 32.4% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% 65 or older. The median age was 46 years.
