pageant. Velázquez played varied roles in the 1960's, from a vedette, to a cowgirl and even as the queen of vampires. She also played two antagonistic roles in a film, as queen of a faraway planet and her twin (picture). In the 1970's, she made the transition to television. Thereafter, she alternated between the large and small screens. Lorena Velázquez was the stepdaughter of actor Víctor Velázquez and older sister of actress Teresa Velázquez. She died on 11 April 2024, at the age of 86.
