It consisted initially of: * the villages of Laprairie, St. Rémi and Napierville, and * the parishes de Laprairie, St. Constant, St. Isidore, St. Jacques le Mineur, St. Philippe, St. Michel Archange, St. Patrice de Sherrington, St. Édouard, St. Cyprien and St. Rémi.
