(RYM) classifies the album as a positive review. The review writes, "Leslie's "L'amour en Vol" is very good, but suffers somewhat from overproduction. Whether it's excessive vocal overdubs ("Je le ferai pour toi"), stacked electronic effects ("L'envers de la terre", "Capitals riches", "S'echapper") or an intro of cascading disco strings ("Un pas vers l'amour"), it is difficult to tell if it's a masterpiece or if it's suffering from too much going on..."L'amour en vol" is a mixed bag that goes a little over the top and lacks the R&B ballads her previous albums featured."
