In 1990 he joined the ''Hungarian Astronomical Association'' and became the Co-ordinator of the Cometary Section the same year. with the discovery and co-discovery of 379 numbered minor planets during 2000–2012, as well as the co-discovery of 5 supernovae including and . He has also discovered three of the first eight predicted earth impactors: 2022 EB5, 2023 CX1, and 2024 BX1. Each of these impacted Earth's atmosphere generating a fireball within hours of discovery.
