1995–2006: Early roles

Hamm, who did not wish to pursue a "normal career", moved to Los Angeles permanently in 1995. He moved into a house with four other aspiring actors and began working as a waiter while attending auditions. I never thought they'd cast me—I mean, I thought they'd go with one of the five guys who look like me but are movie stars."
