Early career

Widell Zetterström started his senior career in IFK Lidingö, joining
Djurgårdens IF Djurgårdens Idrottsförening, commonly known simply as Djurgårdens IF, Djurgården (), and (especially locally) Djurgår'n (), Dif or DIF – is a Swedish sports association with several sections, located in Stockholm. Djurgårdens IF is an s ...
in 2019 and going on loan back to Lidingö the first season. Without having a place in the squad in 2020 due to a head injury, he made his Djurgården debut in 2021. He would play 118 times for Djurgården.
