. It was formed in 2001 as an amalgamation of the former Grey, McKillop and Tuckersmith townships with the town of
Seaforth and village of
Brussels

In January of 2022, then eighteen-year-old Justin Morrison became the youngest person in the history of Huron East to become a municipal councilor
