History

The first written mention of Hoštka is from 1266, when it was established by King

Sights

The Church of Saint Othmar was built in the late 15th century. The originally Gothic church was rebuilt in the early 18th century, but it preserved its Gothic core. Its tall prismatic tower is the landmark of the town square. The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in the Baroque style in 1762. The baroque Holy Trinity column on the town square dates from 1737.
