Charles Roper (1721–1754), who married Gertrude Trevor, daughter of John Morley Trevor, in 1744. * Rev. Hon. Richard Henry Roper (1723–1810), who married Hon. Mary Chetwynd, daughter of William Chetwynd, 3rd Viscount Chetwynd, in 1755. After her death, he married Mary Tenison, daughter of Capt. Thomas Tenison, in 1760. Lord Teynham died on 16 May 1723, from a self inflicted gunshot. After his death, his widow married Irish MP, Robert Moore, a younger son of the 3rd Earl of Drogheda.


Descendants

Through his eldest son from his second marriage, Hon. Charles Roper, was the posthumously the grandfather of Trevor Charles Roper, 18th Baron Dacre, and Gertrude Trevor Roper, 19th Baroness Dacre. Through his youngest son from his second marriage, Rev. Richard Henry Roper, he was the great-great-great-grandfather of the historian Hugh Trevor-Roper, Baron Dacre of Glanton.
