Biography

Störig was born in Quenstedt and studied history, philosophy, sociology and law at various universities, attaining PhD's in both law and philosophy. He has taught at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. His most successful book, ''Kleine Weltgeschichte der Philosophie'' (''A Small World History of Philosophy''), was originally published in 1950. It has since been translated into six languages and has been revised and updated several times. It is still in print. Störig is also known for his
